Murrieta Firefighters Endorse Jonathan Ingram
Every two years, the Murrieta Firefighters carefully consider the candidates for local office and evaluate their platform against the needs of our community. With well over half of our firefighters living right here within the city, it is not a decision any of us take lightly.
The last four years of your tenure as a Murrieta City Councilman have proved your dedication and tenacity in moving our city forward. Your success with helping to negotiate the contracts for the many new hotels, CarMax, and Costco, reestablishing the Murrieta Food Pantry, support of our veterans, as well as paving a way for small businesses to succeed is a testimony to your investment in our community. And your commitment to preserving Murrieta as one of the safest cities in America by prioritizing public safety needs cannot be emphasized enough.
On behalf of the Murrieta Firefighters’ Association, Local 3540, I am proud to announce our endorsement for your reelection to Murrieta City Council representing District 1.” (view endorsement letter here)

From Rick Gibbs, Murrieta City Council Member
As the longest serving Murrieta Council Member, I can state that Mayor Jonathan Ingram’s list of important accomplishments is greater than any other person that I have served with. His insatiable curiosity, incredible research skills, experience as a builder, and drive to better our community combine to ensure that Jon gets things done! From the opening of the Clinton Keith Road extension to Winchester, which as Chairman of the Riverside Conservation Agency, he was able to move along by working to avoid environmental lawsuits. He worked with developers regarding impact fee raises on new construction after a 10 year down cycle for the building industry and negotiated fee’s that were fair for the development industry and the city , to Co-Chair of the I-15 Regional Improvement Task Force, he is literally everywhere in this region working for all of us. But the Jon Ingram I know, and respect has a heart of gold because he cares about people. Whether it was fundraising for a city public safety employee diagnosed with cancer, to delivering Thanksgiving dinners to the Firefighters in our fire stations, to supporting our veterans in the region, to delivering water to victims of wildfires, to helping secure funds for the largest food pantry in the area, to working with the Murrieta Valley Unified School District and Mount San Jacinto Community College to provide enrichment opportunities for our students, his commitment to all of our friends and neighbors is unparalleled. Please reelect this Good Man!”

Over the past four years I have had the opportunity to work with Jonathan Ingram on a variety of issues affecting the City of Murrieta. From issues like revamping the city’s sign ordinance making it easier for local businesses to attract customers, to revitalizing the city core (Old Town) bringing new life and jobs to the region, to addressing City codes making it easier to attract and grow businesses and jobs, to increasing the much needed supply of workforce housing for our residents, Jonathan has demonstrated time and again a keen understanding of what will benefit Murrieta. On regional issues he has been instrumental in working to mitigate freeway traffic congestion on the I-15/I-215 corridor, how to address the growing homeless population and continuing to improve public health and safety.
